FinerWorks offers a growing list of frame moulding styles, all of which are cut to size and offer an affordable framing option for even that "odd" size that you would otherwise have trouble finding at an art supply store. The frames we offer is so you can have that pefect photo frame or elaborate framed art piece.

These are acid and lignin free conservation grade. Matting is available for most frame mouldings and is used to help hi-light either a color in the work or even as part of the room decor. A common approach is to choose a mat color that best approximates the wall color if known. Be aware that there are a wide range of colors we could offer however many colors only have very slight differences in shade or tones therefore may not translate across a computer screen very well. When ordering a custom cut mat, the opening will be just a fraction of an inch smaller than the print or specified window size.

The purpose of the glazing is to provide protection to your prints. It is not necessary in all instances of a framed print as is the case with a framed canvas, but for prints on fine art papers it is recommended since it protects against scuffing and direct contact. FinerWorks currently does not offer actual glass as the glazing but instead provides a safer and common framer’s alternative in the form of clear acrylic (plexiglass). Acrylic provides an advantage to glass by being lighter and less likely to break during shipping.
