FinerWorks Media LLC is a premier internet-based fine art printing company dedicated to serving fine art artists and photographers worldwide. We are a family-owned and operated company with production headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Our mission is to help fine art artists realize their creative visions by producing products with the highest quality, color accuracy and craftsmanship.

We have multiple openings across various roles, including customer service, art production, and warehouse operations, all within a climate-controlled, air-conditioned environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong appreciation for art, keen attention to detail, enthusiasm for learning new skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced printing and framing setting.

Production Assistant - (San Antonio, TX)

As a Production Worker, you will gain hands-on practical experience in various art production techniques. Your responsibilities will include a range of tasks, such as, but not limited to:

  • Operate large format printers (Canon, Epson, Mimaki) for high-quality printing
  • Operate Colex CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery (training provided)
  • Cut molding for custom frames using a chop saw
  • Assemble custom frames with a pinning machine
  • Stretch and mount canvas prints with precision
  • Attach prints to artboard securely
  • Sort and organize fine art prints for efficient packaging
  • Manage packaging and shipping/receiving processes
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ensure production quality by monitoring output consistency
  • Configure and calibrate machinery based on job specifications
  • Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, performing routine maintenance as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines
  • Employing problem-solving skills to improve production processes
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Operate a forklift when necessary (a plus)

Qualifications

  • Available to start work promptly at 5:00 AM
  • Capable of remaining on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to lift and handle weights of up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Demonstrates a solid work ethic
  • Ability to follow directions and accept constructive feedback
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Proficient in multitasking within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
  • Familiarity with 2D and/or 3D CAD software or modeling software is a plus
  • Technical and mechanical experience is advantageous
  • Experience with power tools is beneficial
  • Proficient in reading a tape measure accurately
  • Familiarity with fixing small machines and/or computers/printers is a plus
