Born into an artistic family in Yorkton, Saskatchewan in 1979, Dave Smith showed an early interest in art and honed his skills in various mediums. Encouraged by family and friends, he drew inspiration from his sculptor uncle and ancestors in the Netherlands who were also artists. Over the years, Dave has participated in group shows, created murals, and completed commissioned works. He has also conducted successful workshops covering topics such as oil painting and figurative work.
Despite other responsibilities taking precedence in his life, such as raising children as a single father, Dave remained committed to his art. Now that his daughters are older, he is seizing the opportunity to focus more on his passion for creating. Painting is an essential form of expression for him, and he plans to devote himself entirely to his craft.
