David Lawrence Alpha, born in 1951, is a seasoned painter and printmaker hailing from SW Louisiana with over 50 years of experience in the art world. Having studied under Elemore Morgan at USL and furthered his education at The University of New Orleans, David has honed his craft through extensive travels across the USA, Mexico, Europe, Egypt, and Japan. His works have been showcased in prestigious galleries in Paris, New York, Dallas, and throughout the Gulf Coast, solidifying his reputation as a talented artist. Throughout his career, David has dedicated much of his time to the Lafayette Louisiana area, where he has worked closely with the Lafayette Natural History Museum and organized numerous local Art Group exhibitions in SW Louisiana.

As a Figurative Expressionist, David draws inspiration from nature to create captivating landscape paintings in oil and acrylic on board and canvas. His woodcut prints, which are produced on cloth paper or canvas, showcase his unique artistic vision and attention to detail.
