Chris Vedis, a Fine Artist and Military Veteran, is known for his stunning handcrafted and painted works of art that utilize Abstract, Airbrush, and traditional methods. From a young age, Chris displayed a natural talent for creativity and artistry. After graduating from high school in Ohio, he pursued his passion by attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communications.
Following his college education, Chris gained valuable experience working at a design firm in Pittsburgh, where he honed his skills in the printing and design industry. Starting in the darkroom, he worked his way up from developing rub-on transfers to assisting in the design process. Eventually, Chris expanded his expertise to include website design and went on to establish his own business.
In 1998, Chris relocated to Nevada with aspirations of growing his business in web design and illustration. However, facing challenges in the business world, he made the decision to join the Nevada Army National Guard in 2001. For the next 12 years, Chris dedicated himself to serving his country, completing two overseas tours in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
After nearly 15 years of putting his art on hold, Chris rediscovered his passion and began creating original abstract pieces of art, transitioning from airbrushing. His artwork not only reflects his childhood inspirations but also serves as a form of escapism from the stresses of everyday life. Now, art enthusiasts and collectors have the opportunity to bring a piece of Chris's unique and captivating creations into their homes and offices for a touch of creativity and inspiration.
