While on a family vacation in the spring of 2019, the artist experienced a life-altering near-death encounter that sparked a deep reflection on the trajectory of their life. Given a second chance at the age of 41, they embarked on a journey of self-discovery and service to others. Facing severe social anxiety, they bravely pursued their lifelong dream of performing stand-up comedy at a local open mic, unearthing the roots of their anxiety and realizing their neurodivergence.

Overcoming their anxiety, the artist took to the stage multiple times in the fall of 2019, reveling in the joy of performing but also acknowledging the need to prioritize their health. Struggling with chronic pain, they made the difficult decision to step away from stand-up in pursuit of answers to their health issues. After almost four years, they were diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disorder with no cure, which propelled them to channel their creativity into other avenues.

During the lockdown period, the artist immersed themselves in photography, digitally manipulating images to create surreal and thought-provoking pieces of digital artwork. Through exploration of juxtaposition and symmetry, they aim to distort perceptions and trigger neuroplasticity in the minds of viewers. This collection of digital artworks represents a culmination of their creative journey, each piece offering a unique perspective and inviting viewers to engage in a new way of seeing.

For those seeking to adorn their homes or offices with captivating and thought-provoking artwork, the artist's prints are available for purchase. Each piece promises to bring a touch of creativity and inspiration to any space, inviting viewers to explore the depths of their imagination and perception.
