A practicing artist of 23 years based in Baltimore, Maryland, the journey of creating art has been a joy for this individual. Starting in GT art during early elementary through middle school years, they furthered their skills by participating in the art magnet program at “Patapsco High School and Center of the Arts.” Studying various art forms such as Foundations of Art, Drawing and Painting, and Sculpture, they were handpicked for a mentorship in watercolor and gouache, which quickly became their favorite medium. Self-taught in digital art, they continuously strive to expand their knowledge and skills.
Proud achievements include having a piece displayed in the Baltimore Museum of Art, winning 1st place in a poster contest for Johns Hopkins’ healthy heart exercise campaign, and having work displayed in the hospital’s cardiac unit. Additionally, they won 2nd place in a poetry contest, emphasizing the importance of writing as a form of art. Their belief in the significance of art lies in its ability to process emotions and ideas, allowing for self-expression and awareness. Art can transform a space, creating a calming or energizing atmosphere, and serves as a universal language to connect people from all backgrounds.
