Quick Tips for Holiday Ordering

This year Christmas falls on a Sunday. This means you will want to make sure you have the bulk of your orders you need fulfilled placed about a week before Christmas. See our ordering deadlines for specific dates. Orders will be shipping via either the US Postal Service or UPS but keep in mind that weather conditions can delay a shipment and we cannot control this. Fortunately, services like UPS are working overtime this year to try to ensure delays are minimal. With that said, I have some recommendations for your Holiday ordering.

First the sooner you order the better. This time of year our production department working late hours and weekends however to minimize delays with your shipments, try not to wait until the last moment to order.

Please be aware of the delivery address and make sure that you have someone to receive the print if it is going to a business such as your workplace. Every year there are a handful of orders which are scheduled to arrive at a recipient’s workplace but because the business was closed or they left early for the Holidays they miss the delivery.

UPS and the US Postal Service will be making deliveries up to the Saturday before Christmas. It is not uncommon for them to make deliveries in the late evening hours. Usually tracking information will indicate if an order is out for delivery so even it if is late in the day the carrier might not yet have made it to your neighborhood. You can access tracking information for the order via the order status page and your order history.

This time of year, UPS and the Post Office pack their cargo areas with all sorts of boxes and packages that they might not normally get. This tends to lead to a higher incident of shipments getting damaged. While the chances are always going to be slim, if you do receive a damaged package, let us know as soon as possible. If there is enough time, we will be happy to rush produce a replacement however it will ship via the same method as initially ordered. You will only be asked to pay expedited shipping if your request it.

Prints that are too large to ship flat will tend to want to curl or not flatten out as quickly as they do during warmer months so if any of your prints need to be shipped rolled, please set them in a warm environment as soon as possible.

If for some reason the colors of your digital images do not quite meet your expectation due to unexpected color shifting that you might not have anticipated when in print, your order is guaranteed. If you are so inclined, you may want to still present the print due to the fact there might not be enough time to get a replacement made. If that happens and you want to have the print replaced, you have 30 days after your print is received. Contact us after the holiday and we will help you get a replacement made with the necessary corrections.
