Merri Lewis

Merri is a creative soul who finds joy in the magic of creating. She revels in the way watercolor flows on paper, acrylics pile up to create rocky terrains, and mixed media art supplies come together in mysterious ways. The reorganization of colors into something entirely new brings life to the page in a way that captivates her.

As a child, Merri's love for experimentation led her to discard instructions and embrace exploration. She found herself drawn to textures, sewing, painting, writing, and many other creative outlets. Her unique way of thinking and creativity proved to be invaluable in her work with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness, particularly those with autism.

After raising four children, including two with autism, Merri rediscovered her passion for writing through her blog about raising children with autism. As her children grew older, she turned to art as a means of self-expression. Inspired by the beautiful work painted in a Bible, she embarked on a journey to learn the art form, soaking in all the knowledge she could from various artists.

Merri finds inspiration in nature, music, children, and the fascinating people she encounters in life. Based in Southern Maine, she can often be found playing with toddlers in her church's nursery, walking her adorable Maltipoo, Boomer, exploring the nearby woods, or creating art at her tiny desk. Her prints are a reflection of her passion and creativity, perfect for adding a touch of magic to any home or office decor.
