Bruce Katlin Creates
Arroyo Seco, NM

As an artist, Bruce paints using various mediums and recently took up the challenging art form of woodcarving. He regularly combines his love and passion for intense activity and various art mediums to make a living and live a life fulfilled. The great outdoors is Bruce’s church and the flora and fauna is the choir. He regularly runs, paints, draws and creates while trail running and hiking (sometimes at the same time) in the wide and beautiful canvas of the southwest.
Through his recently created website, he offers guided adventures throughout New Mexico to run, paint, draw and photograph the wonderful, beautiful and expansive southwest.

As a writer, Bruce published his first novel Birds Like Us, The Pi Phillercoix Story. The impetus for “Birds Like Us” came in 2005 when a pigeon walked onto an elevated NYC Subway car, rode the train one stop and then walked out onto the platform. Bruce became fascinated with pigeon culture and intelligence and wondered why this particular bird took the train instead of utilizing its inherent avian abilities. His hope for this book is to help lift the spirits of anyone, anywhere who may feel or is, handicapped physically, emotionally or spiritually, by providing inspiration and self-empowerment. Bruce his currently working on a second novel.
Bruce’s eclectic background also includes acting, writing, directing and producing for theatre and film. He also has over fifteen years experience as a learning and development professional and regularly coaches both adults and teens.
