After completing her studies in art and photography at the New York Institute of Photography, Claire pursued a degree in Information Technology and spent the next 25 years designing software systems for financial institutions in New York City. In 2010, she decided to retire from her career and follow her passion for the night skies. Claire purchased a Celestron telescope and headed west to indulge in some serious stargazing. Fascinated by the beauty and wonder of celestial events, she acquired a Canon Rebel T6i camera and a 24mm lens in 2016 to capture astro landscapes.
While her love for the night skies remains strong, Claire discovered a new passion in 2019 for photographing the grand vistas and intimate landscapes of the earth. As a self-described introvert, she finds solace and inspiration in the woods, fields, mountains, and waterways. Anything colorful or visually striking can catch her eye as a potential subject. Claire exclusively uses Canon gear for her photography and earned a certificate in Digital Photography from the New York Institute of Photography in 2023.
Currently residing in rural Northeast Pennsylvania, Claire is an active member of various arts and conservation organizations in the area. Her photos have been recognized in juried contests and showcased in local galleries.
