White, cotton canvas, with a primed satin finish. A special resin coating holds the inks with high clarity. Images are brilliant and well saturated, making this canvas an ideal media for fine art reproductions or studio portraits.
Tip: If you wish to apply your own finish, FinerWorks recommends Bull Dog Ultra which is a lacquer based finish.
A thrifty low cost matte canvas made of cotton, this canvas is gloss-free with a smoother texture than the gloss canvas. Painters may also find it a good option for prints serving as underpaintings. Images on this canvas may have less contrast than our Premium Matte Canvas or the gloss canvas.
Tip: FinerWorks recommends images with good color saturation and contrast. FinerWorks does not recommend a finish. Some finishes can also react with the inks or dull a print on matte canvas. If you wish to apply your own finish, use a spray and do not use a waterbased finish. You should order some smaller prints first to test with.
This is the very popular HP watercolor paper by Hahnemuhle used by artists and photographers alike. It is an acid-free, single-side coated paper with 50 percent rag showing a natural white finish with a slightly structured, soft-textured surface matte. This high-quality, mould-made paper is ideal for digital fine art reproductions.
Tip: FinerWorks recommends this for images with lighter or very well saturated tones since the matte finish on this paper will absorb some of the inks. Dark deep tones may not be as suitable for this paper.
This Archival Matte Paper features a smooth surface, heavy weight (230 g, 9.5-mil), neutral white, matte paper engineered for accurate color reproduction that provides high contrast and high resolution output. This paper is acid-free making it the perfect choice for both photography & fine art reproductions.
Tip: This paper tends to be more suited for larger prints. For small images with a lot of detail, the Enchanced Matte Paper might be a better choice due to its wider gamut of color and higher print resolution.
Our HP Premium Rapid-Dry Photographic Paper for large format prints, offers the ideal weight, thickness (10 mil) and finish for high quality photographic & art reproductions on a glossy paper. With superb color image quality with our archival pigment ink system, and the power of the HP brand behind it, this media is ready made for large fine art or photo prints.
Tip: This paper tends to be more suited for larger prints. For small images with a lot of detail, the High Gloss Paper might be a better choice due to its wider gamut of color and higher print resolution.
Same as the archival matte paper, however prints on this paper will have a higher color range and smoother color transitions. This heavyweight paper is an excellent alternative for small or large prints where details are not lost.
Tip: This is actually a photographers paper but after our Fine Art Paper, this is a popular paper with artists. Photographers looking for a matte paper alternative might find this the ideal choice for them.
