Adding Embellishments

Artists and photographers may wish to give their work a more artistic appeal by adding embellishments such as paint daubs or brush stroke texture. In order to do make sure that you have applied a considerable amount of coating of a fixative or finish that completely coats the inks (see our tip on applying a finish).

  • If using oil based embellishments, use Grumbacker Tuffilm® Final Fixative as the undercoating.
  • If using water based embellishments such as acrylic, you can use either Krylon® Low-Odor Finish or Grumbacher Tuffilm® Final Fixative.
  • Apply a final finish once the embellishments have dried.

Take a look at our page on applying finishes.
