Correcting Flesh Tones
It
is not uncommon for flesh tones to have a reddish or orange hue if an image
is not carefully prepared prior to printing. Often times,
when you digitally photograph or scan an image of a person, you end up with
flesh tones that are just too red. There are a number of ways to fix the red
face
in Photoshop and other image editing programs. Also note that what may not
appear red to you may appear red to others or visa versa dependant upon their
monitor settings.
Here are some tips to follow no matter if you are printing the image on your
printer at home of having FinerWorks.com print your picture.
- Open the image in any image editing program
- Look for a tool in the program that allows you to adjust the hue and saturation
of an image
- Edit the saturation, usually by decreasing this level.
If you can edit just the saturations of the reds then only decrease the saturation
of the reds so as to not affect other colors in the image.
