I finished this collage when spring was evident. The next morning I woke up and snow covered the ground. Such is the nature of weather in Kansas City. It is easy to anticipate a change in spiritual seasons before the Lord’s timing as well. As we endure the harsh and bitter cold of winter we eagerly await the coming of springtime and harvest. We must remember that some things must die before new life comes forth. But there is always the promise of spring. As surely as the morning dawns and evening fades away day after day spring will come. The words “winter is past” and “spring is here” serve as prophetic declarations that the seasons will change. Jesus will return for His Bride. Do you hear the voice of our Bridegroom calling? He beckons, “Rise up my love… Come away… The winter is past.” He calls us to arise. Do you see the flowers beginning to blossom. It’s time. He’s coming soon. He wants to see your face and hear your voice. Lift up your head. Today, if you hear His voice do not harden your heart. Even now He stands at the door and knocks. Will you open to Him? The winter will not last. It will pass. The season of singing has come. Let everything within you praise Him. "My beloved spoke, and said to me: 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come…'" - Song 2:10-14 (NKJV)
