I am from New York although I've moved around a bit. Not to prestigious art schools nor to any schools at all. My art is raw as it can be. Most of what I create comes from within and not from without. Nor did I ever get into an art class in grade and high school.(far too shy to ask). My Father is a painter and a really good one, realist. (you can find his gallery by typing KOWSKI).
My paintings are from imagination and any talent that I think I have is inherited from Dad. I am so extremely grateful for that. After an amicable divorce I finally had time for me! I started painting a few years ago, around '07. Than seriously since July '08. Art is now my career. I paint people, places, and pet portraits, but I enjoy my own visions much more.
I'm hoping to become much better and more expressive. I cannot get into typical galleries because I don't have a "Body of Work" and I doubt that I ever can conform. (too bad for me,but I can live on Cheerios!)
This has been a long road for me but the ending is getting better because of art.

Lily, I don't know why you don't feel you have a large enough body of work for a showing. I think you have AMPLE work and what I've viewed is QUITE interesting! I think a showing would be far more successful than you imagine. God Bless!, GrammyJo (or Jo)
